On 6 February 2015, Rear Admiral Li Ji, Deputy Director, Foreign Affairs Office, Ministry of National Defense, People’s Republic of China, visited National Defense University for an office call with NDU President Major General Frederick Padilla and a round table discussion with NDU subject matter experts. In Washington for the Defense Policy Coordination Talks, Admiral Li and General Padilla discussed continued cooperation between the US National Defense University and the People’s Liberation Army National Defense University, which sends a delegation of senior officers to Washington every year. During the off the record round table discussion, Admiral Li had the opportunity to address China’s recent military to military agreements with the US and answer questions from National War College students who will be traveling to China later this year.
