• 1. JBAB MPF in-processing: Students will not need to submit any documents to the MPF. Army Student In-processing:

Army Service Chairs will coordinate in-processing for new Army students with the Army Service Representative. Army students will receive additional instructions on how to in-process the Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall Military MPD, POCs, and in-processing times directly from NDU Army Military Service Representative via email.

Attendance Confirmation and Contact Information:

• 1. Confirm your attendance by providing your personal contact information (cell phone number, DOB, DOD CAC number and personal email address) to your service chair and Army Representative via email.
• 2. If you are no longer attending (regardless of reason), please notify your Army Service Chair and the Army Service Representative immediately.
• 3. All students must submit a copy of your latest Officer Records Brief (Soldier Talent Profile) via email NLT 5 July 2023.
• 4. Include in the response email whether you have previously taken courses with NDU (Distance Learning, Joint Forces Staff College - Norfolk, Va., Cyber courses, etc). If you are unsure, the Registrar's Office can verify your previous NDU education.

Early Reporting Requests:

• 1. All Students should report no earlier than 31 Jul 2023, but no later than 1400 on 2 Aug 2023, for Pre In-processing (Mandatory Pre-Brief/Sign-In).
• 2. Submission request to report earlier than 31 Jul 2023 must be submitted to the college Army Service Chair (cc Army Service Representative) for approval. Requests will be considered for approval on a case-by-case basis by the Army Chair.
• 3. Submit requests to NDU-HR.MIL@ndu.edu for approval.

Other Information:

• 1. You do not have to obtain/renew passports prior to your arrival. International Travel Locations are unknown at this time. The NDU Passport Agent will process Passport Applications (initial or renewals) after your arrival.
• 2. Plan to be in “Class B” short sleeve shirt with no tie during your first week. Your Army Chair will instruct you when to transition to civilian attire.
• 3. Visit your school’s website for school specific information (pre-arrival actions, calendars, etc.)
• 4. NDU systems are on an “.edu” network. Access to your “.mil” email will be very limited as there are limited “.mil” computers in the NDU Library. Personal CAC readers are a good thing to have.
• 5. Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall is our “Servicing Base” for Personnel (MPD) and Medical requirements.
• 6. Fort Belvoir is our "Servicing Base" for Finance Transactions.

Sea Service Chairs will coordinate in-processing for new Sea Services students with PS1 Cory Brown, Sea Services Military Representative. Incoming US Navy, US Marine Corps, and US Coast Guard students should review the following information:

Navy Student In-processing: 

On the day of check-in, bring the following documents to NDU Sea Services Military Representative PS1 Cory Brown:

• 1. Copy of your current PCS orders.
• 2. Completed travel voucher form, downloaded from https://www.dfas.mil/militarymembers/travelpay/forms/
• 3. Copy of current Page 2. If there is address change for dependents, draw a line across the old address and write the new address beside it.
• 4. Receipts of hotels from last PDS and current duty station (if applicable).

Marine Corps Student In-processing:

USMC Senior Service Representatives will conduct an in-brief for all CIC, CISA, ES, and NWC USMC students on campus (date and location TBD). Uniform of the day is Service C.

In addition, all USMC personnel must report to HQMC for PCS, Active Duty Special Work (ADSW),TAD, and Active Duty for Training (ADT) orders should report to the MilPers Section, HQBN, Henderson Hall, Bldg. 29, Room 205 to begin the check-in process and receive the endorsement of orders. All personnel checking into HQBN or Henderson Hall must be in the Service "A" uniform. See Google map of of Joint Base Myer-Henderson Hall (JBMHH).

Coast Guard Student In-processing:

Report to Coast Guard Headquarters, 2703 Martin Luther King Jr. Ave SE, Washington, DC 20020 for in-processing. See CG PCS/HHG Guidance and FAQs and the Coast Guard’s PCS Guide for further guidance.

• 1. Use your Orders to build your move in the Defense Personal Property System (DPS).
• 2. You must complete the Coast Guard’s PCS Float Plan (Updated 2/25/21​) within 10 days of departure.
• 3. The PCS Assist Team is available 24/7 by phone or email at (833) 551-0887 or PCSAssist@uscg.mil
• 4. In limited circumstances, leave is now authorized en route during your PCS move, with command approval.
• 5. If you encounter any landlord/tenant issues, you are encouraged to contact a Coast Guard Legal Assistance Attorney.
